On July 3rd, a training workshop was held to introduce participants to the principles of the Charter of Educating Cities, as well as the values and practices that underpin this model. The main goal was to promote a social, inclusive, and sustainable transformation at the local level, encouraging lifelong learning throughout all areas of the city.

As part of the training, interactive boards were used to help participants explore emblematic spaces within the city of Chihuahua. The aim was to identify the characteristics that make these spaces educational and meaningful to citizens, and to understand which departments are involved in making this possible.

During the workshop, teams were formed and each one designed its own Educating City board. Based on the selection of a symbolic location, a route was planned for the Kubo robot so that, as it followed the path, key concepts related to building an Educating City could be introduced. At the end, each team presented their board, answering questions such as: Why did you choose this destination? Is it an educational space for citizens? Why? Which principles of the Charter of Educating Cities does it reflect? Which departments are involved? What good practices are observed? What areas for improvement have been identified?

In addition, the work of IAEC and the Mexican Network of Educating Cities (REMCE) was presented, along with successful experiences from several member cities.
