
Meeting of the IAEC Territorial Networks in Latin America
On July 31st, a virtual meeting of the territorial networks in Latin America was held, with the participation of representatives from coordinating cities and members of the monitoring commissions.
The aim of the meeting was to create a space for exchange and joint work among cities from different countries that carry out coordination roles or are part of the monitoring commissions.
The meeting agenda included:
- Welcome and general overview of the meeting
- Introduction round of participants
- Presentation of key topics for joint work
- Strengthening and development of the territorial networks
- Proposed meeting to work on the “Mentor Cities” initiative (September)
Throughout the session, participants shared reflections aimed at consolidating the dynamic of the territorial networks and deepening the exchange between cities. In this context, the strategic role of coordinating cities within the networks was reaffirmed.
Representatives from the following cities took part: Rosario, San Justo, Venado Tuerto, Córdoba, Malabrigo (Argentina); Curitiba and Passo Fundo (Brazil); Guanajuato, Playa del Carmen, and León (Mexico).
The meeting is part of the ongoing commitment to strengthen networked work, promote public policies guided by the principles of the Educating City, and foster spaces for cooperation and shared learning among local governments.
