Argentina Network meeting
The Argentina network meets on 17 September to prepare the upcoming 5th National Meeting (Venado Tuerto, 26 November) and the International Day of the Educating City!
The cities of Achiras, Buenos Aires, Cañada de Gómez, Esquel, General Alvear, General Cabrera, Godoy Cruz, Pergamino, Río Cuarto, Rosario, San Francisco, San Justo, Santa Fe, Tilisarao, Venado Tuerto,Villa Constitución and Zárate take part in the meeting.
Camilo Vieyra, Secretary of Government (Institutional Relations and Culture), together with Luciana Bo, City Councillor, from Rio Cuarto, city coordinating the Argentina network, Marina Canals (IAEC General Secretary) and Laura Alfonso (Director of the IAEC Latin America Delegation) open the event.
The IAEC General Secretary discusses the reasons to celebrate the International Day of the Educating City, the selected slogan, the proposals to participate at an international level, and invites member cities to join the celebrations.
Next, Sofia Galnares, Subsecretary of Citizen Participation and Cooperation, presents the draft programme for the 5th Argentina Network National Meeting scheduled in Venado Tuerto on 26 November, with the theme “The Educating City leaves no one behind”. The programme includes conferences and the presentation of good practices, and will take place in a hybrid format, given the current health situation.
The meeting concludes with an internal workshop for political and technical delegates aimed at reinforcing the network. Participants are invited to attend the National Meeting.
