City of the region of Galicia, Norwest of Spain. Placed at the confluence of the river Lerez and the Ría of Pontevedra, the city is the administrative and trade capital of the historic region of Rías Baixas. The economy of the city is much diversified and has trade and industrial activity. The old centre of the city was declared Cultural Interest Site.
