Macedo de Cavaleiros is a Portuguese city located in the Bragança district and divided in 38 parishes. The city is a touristic destination in the Trás-os-Montes area, composed by Porto’s Touristic Region and the north of Portugal. The Geopark Terras de Cavaleiros encompasses the entire area of the municipality. This important geological site was included in UNESCO’s Global Geparks in 2014 and it also belongs to the European Geoparks Network.
