Katowice

© bobbybradley The polish city of Katowice is the capital of the Silesia’s region. The city has 307,233 inhabitants and occupies a surface area of 164 km2. It has a population density of 1,900 inhab./km2. It is a major political, administrative, economic, scientific and cultural centre of Poland. In the past the city grew thanks to the development of mining and metallurgy. At this time Katowice has become a major investment hub (network of roads, urban infrastructures, administrative and financial centres).
