Its coastline extends, from east to west, from de Estuary of Ferrol to the Prioriño cape and the Atlantic Ocean. Between its historical heritages it’s worthy to distinguish the Castles of San Felipe and La Palma that formerly guarded the estuary. The economic activity of the city is essentially maritime; Ferrol has a trade and a fishing port, civilian and military shipyards and touristic beaches.
