City of the Balearic Island of Minorca (Spain) which occupies an area of 66,09Km² extending from the North to South of the island. The urban centre of Ferreries is an example of popular architecture, with little whitewashed houses. In the southern coast, there is a second city centre in Cala Galdana. The economy of the city is based on the agriculture activity and cattle ranching, focused on the artisan production of cheese, footwear, furniture industry and tourism. In the city, you can visit one of the most important archaeological sites of the island, the prehistoric village of Son Mercer de Baix.
