With around 30,000 inhabitants, it is the most extended and crowded city (186,05 km²) of the Mediterranean island. The city is an international tourist destination thanks to its beautiful coast, its charming historical centre and seaport and the preservation of the archaeological site of a pre-roman talayotic culture.
