Avellaneda is an Argentine city located Southeast of Buenos Aires. Its harbour is the second busiest in the country. During the 20th century it was a key pole of the country’s metal industry and an important railway center. Avellaneda is made up of seven parishes: Avellaneda Centro, Dock Sud, Gerli, Piñeyro, Sarandí, Villa Domínico and Wilde.
