Buenos Aires

© Ricardo Patiño (Flickr) The City of Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and the main urban centre of a metropolitan area where more than 15 million people live. The city is located on the western shore of the mouth of the Rio de la Plata (literally the River of Silver), in the southern eastern coast of Latin America over the Pampa plains. The city has a surface of 203 km2 and a density of more than 15.000 inhabitants/km².
