Irapuato, is located in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, and has an estimated  population of 500,000 inhabitants. The city was founded in 1547, and  has a rich history linked to agriculture. Irapuato is famous for its strawberry production, reason for which is known as the “Wold’s Strawberry Capital.” It also has a growing industrial sector, with automobile and other manufacturing factories. As for its heritage, the Temple of Hospitalito and the Dolphin Fountain stand out as historical local symbols. Irapuato organizes events such as the Strawberry Festival.
