Ugena

Ugena is a municipality located in the province of Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. It has a population of 5.723 inhabitants (INE 2023). This town stands out for its rich history and cultural heritage. Economically, Ugena has maintained a traditionally agricultural base, although in recent decades it has experienced significant industrial development, thanks to its proximity to Madrid. One of the most emblematic monuments is the Church of Saint John the Baptist, which dates back to the 16th century, exhibiting a mainly Gothic style. Culturally, its patron saint festivities stand out in honour of Saint John the Baptist.
