The city of Phuket is the political, economic and administrative capital of an island, which attracts every year thousands of tourists. Accordingly, its International Airport is connected with cities from all around the world. Attracted by its trade and its tin production, subsequent migration waves from Siam, China, Malaysia, India and Europe converted Phuket into a multicultural city. We can find an example from this mixture at its historic centre. There it is possible to visit several buildings from the 19^th century in Portuguese and Sino-colonial style.
