Piên is a Brazilian municipality located in the southeast of the state of Paraná.
The municipality's economy is partly based on agriculture, on crops such as parsley, wheat or corn; although since the 1990s industries have been the city's greatest economic asset.
It also has a growing hotel and leisure offer. The museum of vintage cars, the bird park, where a great variety of exotic species coexist, or the zoo, which has a totally educational vocation, stand out. The Redentor square, popularly known as Plaza Gaúcho, concentrates a good part of the city's social life.
The municipality of Piên stands out for the friendliness of its people and its sustained growth. Proof of this is that its Human Development Index (IDH) is one of the best in the state of Paraná.
