© Aldeana (Flickr) Capital of the province of the same name of the Castile León Region. It is located 1063 meters over the sea level at bankside of the Duero river. It occupies a surface of 217,77 km² and has a population density of 145,4 hab./km². It is a regional administrative and commercial hub, whose principal industrial activity is the elaboration of food products, specially butter. Among its architectonic heritage, it is worth mentioning its medieval wall and the romanic churches of Santo Domingo and San Juan de Rabanera.
