The city has one of the main Latin American ports and consequently is one of the main economic activities together with tourism, fishing and trade. Among its tourist sites, there are the main Palm Tree garden, which extends besides to the 7km. of beaches, and the Museum of the Coffee, which occupies the Old Coffee Bourse.
