Spanish city of 87,910 inhabitants situated at the North of Africa near the Gibraltar Strait at the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. The historic centre of Ceuta is located in an isthmus that joins the Monte Hacho Peninsula and the African continent. The development of the modern city was concentred on the shores of its bay.
