Meio ambiente

Num mundo cada vez mais urbano, as cidades têm uma grande responsabilidade na promoção de um desenvolvimento mais sustentável que permita satisfazer as necessidades das gerações atuais sem comprometer a capacidade das gerações futuras.

Neste contexto, as Cidades Educadoras comprometeram-se a progredir no sentido de um desenvolvimento urbano mais sustentável, não só em termos ambientais, como também sociais, culturais e económicos, no âmbito do XII Congresso Internacional das Cidades Educadoras, como se pode constatar na Declaração de Changwon. Uma aposta que pressupõe uma educação para a cidadania que visa introduzir uma mudança de valores, de princípios e de práticas.
