It occupies a plain and fertile soil of 10km² destined to the cultivation of rice and green vegetables. A vast part of its territory is included in the Natural Park of Albufera, one of the most valuable and representative wetlands of Spain. Since the 90s, the Park is also a Special Protection Area (SPA) for birds. During the last years, the industrial activity, specifically of wood and furniture production, have grown.
