The opening event of the International Day of the Educating City took place on 29 November, with the conference «Social and cultural inequalities and equity policies», by Dr. Nicolás Barbieri, Professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a researcher on cultural policies and rights and a dialogue with the cities of Katowice (Poland), Montevideo (Uruguay), and São Paulo (Brazil) regarding various cultural proposals designed with the aim of democratizing access to culture.
